Description

In Home Run Derby, I found myself living out the dream: standing at home plate, baseball bat in hand, facing down a professional pitcher with the entire stadium watching. It's a deceptively simple online baseball game, just me, the pitcher, and a ticking one-minute timer. But behind that simplicity hides an addictively rewarding score-based gameplay loop that kept me chasing perfect hits over and over again.

Click to Swing, Time to Win

Controls couldn't be simpler: move the mouse to aim your swing, click or tap to swing the bat. But don't let that fool you: Home Run Derby is all about timing. I had to watch the pitcher, study the ball's trajectory, and aim my swing perfectly to launch that baseball past the fence for a home run. Miss the sweet spot and it's just a base hit, or worse, a swing and a miss.

Home Runs Mean Extra Time

Every home run not only racked up my score, it earned me extra seconds, a lifeline I desperately needed as the clock wound down. String together consistent homers and the scoreboard lights up. Fumble a few swings, and it's back to the dugout.

Controls

• Touch Screen (under strike zone) = Activate targeting
• Move Finger = Adjust target circle
• Raise Finger (when the ball is in the circle) = Swing and hit the ball
