I didn’t expect to see Luka Doncic dunk from the free-throw line while on fire, but then again, I didn’t expect Basketball Legends 2020 to deliver one of the most addictively goofy HTML5 sports experiences I’ve had in a while.

Made by MadPuffers (the crew behind Basketball Stars 2019), this browser-based, bobblehead-style online basketball game lets you take control of iconic players like Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, or LeBron James across a variety of modes, and yes, supershots and mega dunks are on the menu.

Master the Court, Or Get Dunked On

Whether you’re going 1vs1 or diving into chaotic 2vs2 matches, every player has special abilities that push Basketball Legends beyond a button-masher. I tried Steph first, hoping his legendary three-pointer would carry me, but it didn’t. His passing game is tight, but without access to a mega dunk? I got absolutely posterized by a Harden-led fast break.

Switching to Giannis, I started bullying my way through Story Mode, slamming epic dunks and watching that supershot charge bar fill like sweet, sweet revenge. The realistic physics and clever ball mechanics mean you’ve got to dribble, pass, and block with purpose, no spamming the B key and hoping.

You can play on mobile, desktop, or tablet - no download required. Modes such as Quick Match, Tournament, Story, and Training are all available. I spent most of my time in Multiplayer, but even solo against the AI, the challenge is real.

So yeah, Basketball Legends 2020 is no joke. It’s the kind of fast-paced, browser-based chaos where you learn your character, watch your supershot, adapt to opponents, and then slam dunk your way into legend.
